Members of the class of 2023, alumni, faculty, staff, and NSO leaders will head into the community for community service projects.
On Saturday, August 31, The Center for Service and Leadership is facilitating a service project as part of New Student Orientation. We need as many student affairs staff members as possible to participate as site leaders for the first year and transfer students who will be serving in the community on that day. Here is the timeline for the day:
9:30am – Check in with Charlene/Jennifer at the Field House
9:45am – Opening Ceremony
10:00am – Groups head out to service sites (either walking or bus)
12:15 – Wrap up projects and head back to campus
12:30 – Lunch
You will of course be provided with a Humanics in Action t-shirt and be invited to an orientation where you will be given all the details of the project/site you will be supervising. Please email Jennifer Thompson (jthompson4) to volunteer.
